Queen Mab is one of the Fairy Queens of the Seelie Court, based in Solas Realta in Fairyland. She is known as the Winter Queen.
Physical Appearance[]
Queen Mab is a dark beauty, with raven black hair and skin the color of glacial ice. She is always depicted with a cool expression, wearing dark colored gowns.
History[]
Mab's history is shrouded in mystery, with the main consensus of information on her being that she is a mysterious fairy. She was among the other Queens when they made their pact to oppose Oberon, and is also said to have assisted the Baba Yaga in carving out her personal realm of Fairyland - The Thrice-Tenth Kingdom.
It is said that Mab is the mother of the twin goddesses of Mir, Danika and Zorya. Who the father is, however, is hotly debated.
Some rumors claim that Mab was once a Hag in service to Oberon. Many who attempt to spread these rumors suffer gruesome fates.
Realm[]
Mab's personal demesne, Réimsí an Aisling, is a magical place that sits closely to the Realm of Dreams. She holds court on Cnoc na Draíochta, the Hill of Magic, where magical power runs rampant and she and her servants can commune with their mortal counterparts.
Servants[]
The Winter Queen is served by many dark and cold fairies, having some overlap with the fae servants of Baba Yaga. There are also witches and shamans in her service, as well as a number of elementals.
Worshipers[]
Mab's worship is centered around magic users, and apart from the magical fey who pray to her for guidance and safety, many witches also give her prayers.
Allies and Enemies[]
Queen Mab is allied to the other Fairy Queens in their opposition of King Oberon and the Unseelie Court. She is also considered an ally of both the Baba Yaga and of Hecate, Goddess of Witches.
